Chelsea legend Didier Drogba is about to finalise a move to the Major League Soccer, according to report.
A free agent since putting an end to his second spell at Stamford Bridge last June, the Ivoirian striker has attracted interest from a host of clubs in the States and in the Middle East, with New York City FC appearing in pole position to sign him.
Should the deal go through, the 37-year-old will reunite with former Blues teammate Frank Lampard, who joined the MLS side earlier this month on a two-year contract following a season stint at Manchester City.
Drogba and Lampard enjoyed an eight-year spell together at Stamford Bridge from 2004 to 2012, claiming three Premier League crowns, two League Cup, four FA Cup and the prestigious UEFA Champions League.
And the two have scored an incredible 376 goals in all competitions for the Blues.
